THE LOVELY BONES DIRECTED BY PETER JACKSON. first and foremost i would like to point out that ever since Armageddon (directed by Micheal Bay), never in my life i would encounter another Hollywood movie that would touch me so emotionally. in other words, i cried watching this! i love how the story was told, different point of views but mostly about the main character which is Susie Salmon (played by Saoirse Ronan). the whole story was narrated by Susie herself, telling the story like how she wanted it to be told. the movie teaches us on how to deal with grief and how death could be something beautiful even in horrible situations. the movie started of with introductions of Susie Salmon's life, how she has to deal with teen issues like falling in love and how her relationships with her family members. however, everything was stolen from her when a man who lived just around the neighborhood took her life. the story continues with how her relations deal with her death and the determination to solve the mystery. how her father (Mark Wahlberg) gets obsessed on finding the killer and her mother (Rachel Weisz) went away, knowing that she wasn't strong enough to move on. i love the scene where she describes the afterlife, before heaven. however honestly speaking, too much CGI are used (Peter Jackson style). i think most scenes can be left alone because they are unimportant. the part where Susie's body was about to be dumped in a sinkhole, my heart started to pound like a train inter cutting Ruth Connors (Carolyn Dando) tries to tell Ray (Reece Ritchie) that inside that safe, is the body of Susie. however, some parts i must say that the editing are poorly done. lots of insignificant scene were put up and the film were saved by the actors performances.

i would not review much further because few reviews i've read told me that there is different versions of storylines between the movie and the actual book.

p/s: i've been doing some personal blogging these days whereas this page is for us to share. well, more reviews and questions to come in the future....
