Drunk

Howdy Ho!!

First thing first!! For the past few months, I seldom watch movies (for several unexplained situations) however here are some few one liners (or more) about couple of films that I saw throughout the year (non-sequenced, because I'm forgetful and that lazy)!! Leggo!!

1. Dark Knight Rises - Must watch! Not as hype as the previous one however it ended great. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman aka Selina is just (wait for it!) Badass!! Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adorable yet you do not mess with his brain. Christian Bale is by far my favourite Batman aka Bruce Wayne.

2. The Avengers - Non-stop action/comedy/drama. Been waiting for this film to come out since last year! Watch until the very end of the movie. Droll over all of the superheroes (especially Robert Downey Jr.) and Shawarma!

3. Total Recall - Shit just got real for this one! Non-stop (and I mean, Non-Stop!) action sequence. Nothing too messy, the pacing was just right. Lots of cat fights and Colin Farrell's confused face!

4. Battleship - Not feeling it that much, but I like how they've planned their attack towards the aliens with numbers and codes. After all, this movie is based on the popular board game, Battleship.

5. Prometheus - If you love films by Ridley Scott, then you'll enjoy this film. Although the story was quite similar to Aliens, but I read somewhere that this was supposed to be the prequel for Aliens. That explains alot because the whole story is just too 'Alien'. Not really my favourite though.

6. The Amazing Spider-Man - Andrew Garfield... droll!! Also, I prefer this version of Spiderman. Sorry Toby!

7. Twilight Saga : Breaking Dawn Part 1 - Same old... same old. NEXT!!

8. Brave - I now declare my love to the badass-big-curly-hair-princess-with-a-badass-archery-skill!!! Nuff said!

9. Snow White and The Huntsman - The only actor I'd noticed was Charlize Theron because she's Karayyzayylyy good!!

10. Wanderlust - If you're looking for a light comedy, then you should watch this!

11. This Means War - Who wouldn't want to fight for Reese Witherspoon?? I enjoyed watching this.

12. Abraham Lincoln : Vampire Hunter - I like the story and actions. What bothers me was the fact that they've used an actual American figure as the main character. I'm not sure whether its a parody or.... (still confused)

13. Mirror Mirror - Lily Collins is just too adorable!!! Julia Roberts me love!

14. Being Flynn - I broke down after watching it. It's just too close to home. Remarkable storyline. Paul Dano and Robert DeNiro is just too awesome! Seriously a good film!!

I think that's about it!! I might missed out some couple more films but I'll be back whenever I manage to remember them! Enjoy!!!

P/s: Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin. :D

Distance

Love. A word that fits perfectly in between I and You. The word itself is so powerful that some people just can't handle it. Some might take it easy, some might feel a lump in their throat saying it. Once you've said it with all you heart and soul pouring out, you'll instantly gain somewhat freedom without realizing that at the same time you are creating a bond.

Do not take the word lightly, as it's a form of mechanism to patch up a deformed heart.

Roots Before Branches

Hello Earthlings,

The purpose of this blog originally was to inspire, to review films and to discuss things that matter the most. However, my life has been a turbulence and this blog turned personal. I have no intentions to attract cheap attentions and do believe me, although we are currently living in one narcissistic community where even the littlest stupid things matter most. I live in an environment where your ideology places you to a certain status quo. It's like high school all over again. I chose to be a sponge. I absorb to adapt. It lead me to know lots of kinds of human beings. I learn to love and experience my heart shattered into million of pieces in a split second. Reattached and shattered again. But that made me learn to be a better person. I also learn not to hold grudges, and to forgive eventually (although it's within my nature to forgive instantly!). In my 23 years of living this earth, God gave me the visual of the things that may took 10 to 50 years to experience. I was lucky but not so lucky. I scarred easily and carries a burden that I myself couldn't have imagined. Not to brag, but it's the truth. I saw people's joy, glory, pain and suffering. I see people come and go.

Love this picture of my step dad, he's having his deep thoughts again. Daydreaming perhaps!

I've always envision myself being the helper, the hero, the concrete wall where people could lean on. It gives me slight of relief whenever I manage to help someone on their times in need. I listen to their expression of words, I felt what they were feeling, and it gave me an inspiration to see it and apply it on myself. However, I have come to a point where I need to pay attention to myself, to what I need and what I want in this life. To search who I really am and to obligate the needs of my religion. To understand the meaning of life and to learn the meaning of why am I here. To love unconditionally and learn to really let go and move forward. To welcome new people and to form farewell by the departure of old friends. To create new experience and to preserve memories. To respect and be respected. This time, I'll let nature run its course. This time, I'm opening my heart to new possibilities. This time perhaps, you can call me selfish.

Sorry for the long post! Here's a picture of me chasing a pigeon in the south side of Melbourne... :D

Another Chance

by Roger Sanchez

If there's another chance for me,
To go back in time, I'll be,
Not the person you've known,
Maybe we won't have any conversations on the phone,
Maybe we won't have sat on the same table,
Having lunch and we won't be able,
To introduce ourselves exchanging names,
Not knowing that we would exchange flames,
Burning in our heart's desire,
Until we would set ourselves on fire,
But i chose not to relive,
Instead choose to forgive,
Every pain life has thrown upon us,
Although we were in fact dumb and clueless,
Where's DORAEMON when i needed a friend?
I want his fucking-magic-pink-door that gets me to Lalaland!!!!

SEGMEN BAHASA MELAYU PASAR DATANG LAGI (UPDATED!)

Korang mesti dah perasan dekat Youtube, video - video yang bertajuk "Sh*t ___ Say". Memang tergelak aku dok tengok video - video tu! mane taknye, sume tu macam reflek balik kelakuan buruk kite semua. Walau bagaimanapun, kebanyakan video tersebut lebih memaparkan kelakuan/kebiasaan masyarakat Amerika ataupun budaya barat (western culture). aku telah mendapat idea untuk membuat benda yang sama tapi aku tak buat video (sebab faktor mencari pelakon dan aku malas nak buat shoot, edit bagai). aku mula memerhati kawan - kawan dan diri aku sendiri. kalau ade salah silap, aku mintak maaf awal - awal!

Sh*t (atau Stuff) Young Malaysian Say

1. Lah
"Ya lah", "Of course Lah!", "Alahhhhh", "Gile Lah!"

2. Macam
"Kau tau Macam ko naik motor, lepas tu Macam bile ko nak laju, ko Macam rase nak terbang, Macam tu lah"

3. Dowh
"Ye Dowh, die tak caye aku Dowh", "Bile Dowh?"

4. Der (singkatan untuk brader)
"Der, ko kat mane Der? Bile nak sampai ni Der", "Der, lu baru bangun tido ke Der?"

5. Arr (lebih kurang macam Lah tapi tambah kerek sikit, juga merupakan ekspresi)
"Ye arr!!", "Gile arr ko!", "Bile arr?", "takde arr", "Nasib ko arr!"

6. Gebang
"Lu tak payah nak citer Gebang arr!", "Mamat tu Gebang dowh!"

7. Bro (macam der jugak, lebih biasa digunakan)
"Bro, lu tengok bola tak?" "Bro, gua bukan laki la bro!" "Sorry bro, gua confuse"

8. Ape Cer? (singkatan untuk 'apa cerita')
"Ape Cer? Ape Cer?"

9. Loser
"Takkan hari minggu tak keluar, Loser la kau!" "Malam tak main DOTA ke? Loser dowh!"

10. Cerciter (Cuba Cerita)

3. Ada eksiden, "Bro! Nombor ekor! Mesti kena esok!"

Selamat berhibur!

Firstly, i would like to apologize to everyone who's reading this (whoever you are) for being absent for the longest time due to my work. now i'm back and the new year drew closer to us. this year, i would like to list top 10 of the best films i have watched this year (not the vintage classic ones, all made 2011/english language). so here we gooo!!!
10.The Rite : i never really liked horror movies, but i really enjoy this and from my personal opinion, the story was not exaggerated too much and it was done nicely.
9. The Muppets : Really love the muppets and this revival is their best yet!
8. Your Highness : Hilarious movie to watch!! It's been a long time since i see this kind of movies. A must see! Don't care about all the critics said.
7. Kung Fu Panda 2 : I've always love Kung Fu Panda. A kids movie that everybody can enjoy! Plus, it's Jack Black!
6. X-Men : First Class : To all x-men lovers out there, this is like a make up from the horrendus badly CGI'ed X-Men Origins : Wolverine. (I've watched it in the cinema, not on those pirated controversial dvd's. fyi)
5. The Green Hornet : How I love every film made by the most influential directors around, Michel Gondry. Plus, never thought Seth Rogen and Jay Chou could team up! (minus Cameron Diaz please! they could have just chose a different actress!!)
4. Hanna : Girl serial killer, hunky father (Uhuh!). Kinda reminded me of 'Leon'. Both are great movies. Always a big fan of Saoirse Ronan since Atonament.
3. Sucker Punch : Hot girls in sexy uniforms with guns!! Kicking Ass!! Zack Snyder!! Yeah!!! (i just sounded like a dude!)
2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 : Saying goodbye to the Harry Potter franchise wasn't easy because i grew up with it. Well, Daniel Radcliffe practically the same age as me! This second part of the last movie was done beautifully even though most of the book was not put up and there were several changes in the scenes. *tear*
1. 50/50 : It's been a while since i saw a movie that was hard for me to digest. It was dark, heartbreaking, comedy, self-realisation type of movie. It was real and the actors (especially Joseph Gordon-Levitt) acted beautifully and real. Not those typical dramas that tries soo hard to make the audience cry for no good reason. p/s: This is entirely my personal opinion. Everybody's entitled to their own choices of movies right? Merry Christmas and have a blissful New Year!!!
